PROVIDED IRA TRAINING FOR AMERICAN ACADEMY ATTORNEYS
LOCAL ESTATE PLANNING ATTORNEY COMPLETES TRAINING

Southampton, PA Estate Planning Attorney Marianne P. Flood completed extensive training at an educational conference in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, January 27, 2007 sponsored by the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. The Academy is the premier national organization promoting excellence in estate planning by providing member attorneys with up-to-date research, educational materials, and other important resources.

The instructor for this training was nationally known IRA expert, Ed Slott. This conference marked the first-ever event where Mr. Slott limited participation to estate planning attorneys. This training was valuable to the attorneys in attendance, as well as consumers they work with due to the ever-changing and highly complicated issues around IRAs and other retirement assets (401k, 403b, 457, etc.). If an estate planning attorney’s client has a large IRA or other retirement account, the right advice can allow them to take advantage of huge opportunities in the tax code—and more importantly, the wrong advice can cause irreversible problems and cause the entire IRA balance to be taxed immediately. Slott focuses on educating professionals on how to save their clients large sums of money and avoid costly mistakes which would otherwise result in huge tax payments.
